After an informal chat for us to find out about you and explain how our reflexology course works, we ask you to complete your application.

On induction day you start hands-on training, (you actually begin treatments on day one!)

You learn a basic treatment over a shorter time than at other schools; it’s intense, but it means we can develop your practical ability to a greater extent further along.

We don’t teach unit-by-unit, we take you on a logical developing journey, discovering how all parts of the course (both practical & theory), fit together to make you a confident and competent therapist; it is not just a question of gaining a qualification.

You will have tutor & school support throughout this journey and beyond if you should need us

How to refer, (and to who.) Plus, you will hone those important practical skills, including hand reflexology, always aided by your experienced tutor.

There are also 3 observed client practical assessments as part of the unit.

Core Unit: A&P + Pathologies

Like all units, this is designed specifically for those who want to study Reflexology professionally. You will learn how the body systems work and are interdependent, and how you use this knowledge to benefit your client. You will research common conditions, (pathologies). Homeostasis, (internal regulation and balance), forms part of this unit, as does a studying the affects of stress on the body.

Core Unit: Practice Management

Here you will study the legal and professional requirements of running your own business. Cash flows and business plans form part of this unit. These help you to plan your future, and we are also able to give you ideas and methods to use to build and run a busy reflexology clinic.

Core Unit: Client Case Studies

This unit is where all those skills you are learning come together as you carry out a series of case studies on clients. These are recorded and written to specific criteria which evolves with you as you develop your practical ability, and your knowledge grows.

PLUS ...

As well, we add: Therapeutic Reflexology for Sub Fertility, Therapeutic Reflexology in Pregnancy and Specific Conditions Techniques plus business ideas for the real world. Do I have to have any qualifications?

You do not need any prior qualifications.

Why should I do this course over the one at my local college?

College courses are usually level 3, and the current level 3 course is generic; only one of the units being specific to Reflexology. These courses are fine if you want to practice on family and friends. However, there is no requirement for tutors to be practicing Reflexologists. Level 3 has no guaranteed minimum hours in front of a tutor. Professional Reflexology course does give you those guarantees and has been designed to train people to become professional reflexologists.

Why should I do this course over Level 5?

Level 5 is an excellent course, but it does have a very high academic content and does need much greater time commitment. Professional Reflexology recognised that it was essential to focus their course on a sensible balance of practical training and theory while keeping the standards very high. Not everybody is able to give that extra time and the course has been produced to give you the relevant theory plus a higher proportion of practical reflexology.

Why does it take 10 months to do the course?

Practical reflexology is not a question of just “going through the motions”.

The training is really like going on a journey and absorbing new information along the way.

To try to learn over a shorter period would not give you the time to do this, nor would you be able to properly complete your case studies.
